Founded in 2007, Tipples Mobile Bars and Catering Hire offer a flexible and wide range of bar and catering equipment for hire. Tipples is a family-run business, led by Husband and Wife team Tim and Charlotte, who have a wealth of knowledge and experience from working in the hospitality industry including luxury hotels, wedding venues, and cruise ships.
Tipples approached gloversure to create an easy-to-navigate eCommerce website that would have an array of custom functionality to improve user experience. Their previous website was not reflective of the high-quality services that they offer and did not showcase the range of flexibility and choice. They wanted to improve page speeds while displaying a vast range of images and content. Their previous website design had started to look dated and they wanted an improved modern design that would focus on their catering and mobile hire products. A website that has clear and effective navigation throughout the site. The custom-designed website now has a large range of call to actions on the homepage that allows the services to stand out. With large images showcasing the products, the products are now easily accessible. Tipples is a unique, hardworking company that focuses on customer satisfaction. The website now gives a feel for the business and showcases the company values. We produced the website using background accents in a modern and innovative way to link with the style of the company. Structurally the new website can handle a large number of high-quality images and content, promoting Tipple’s products and services. The new website now showcases the flexibility of the services that Tipples has to offer.
With the use of WordPress’ eCommerce Solution WooCommerce, the website now allows the Tipples team to easily update and add information to the website. The user experience was our first stop for the new website. Tipples wanted the website to have the ability for users to quickly find information about the various different services that they provide. While the client has a broad niche audience, the way that they browse is varied. Therefore, we created clear landing pages which are easily navigated. There are also enquiry forms placed throughout the website where a user can input detailed information about their event, and the services that they require, tailoring the website for the user and saving time and money on admin.
The website aims to promote Tipple’s Mobile Bar and Catering Hire services, whilst aesthetically reflecting the company. As well as the ability for the user to quickly find information, it also needed to have the functionality for users to order catering hire equipment online, or request a brochure. A key feature, and a requirement from the client, was the use of a quote basket. The quote basket was created to show a summary of the products selected by the user of the website. The user can then fill out an enquiry form about those products to submit their enquiry. Additionally, there are fields for dates as well as options to select delivery, which is generated from Google API, or collection. Tipples also required a dirty return fee, so it was essential that this would automatically be calculated by the website.
