Filey Bay Direct is a holiday letting agency based at The Bay, Filey. Founded in 2018 by Paula Foster, it manages a growing portfolio of over thirty properties across the resort.
The agency is also a member of PASC UK. It also supports charity work, including The Golddigger Trust, by offering stays to help with fundraising.
The business had outgrown its existing website. We were brought in to rebuild the platform and improve both performance and usability, with a particular focus on search speed and system integration.
The previous website was not built by us. It was struggling with performance issues, especially around property search. Results were slow to load, which made it harder for users to quickly find and book accommodation.
There were also limitations in how property data was being handled. As the portfolio grew, the system became harder to manage and less efficient.
Because of this, the goal was clear. We needed to rebuild the website from the ground up, improve speed, and fully integrate it with their booking system.
We designed and developed a new website focused on performance, usability, and scalability.
A key part of the build was a custom integration with SuperControl. This API integration became the backbone of the system.
Instead of relying on slow or partially synced data, the website now pulls live property information directly from SuperControl. This includes availability, pricing, images, and full property details.
Everything updates automatically, reducing manual work and improving accuracy across the site.
Search is now significantly faster. Filters respond instantly, and results load without delay.
The new search experience is much smoother for users.
Visitors can filter properties by dates, group size, and features. Results load quickly and are easy to compare.
Because everything is powered by live API data, availability and pricing are always accurate. This builds trust and reduces frustration during the booking process.
It also simplifies internal management, as updates no longer need to be handled manually.
