Reconomy

Reconomy was the UK’s market-leading provider of technology-enabled outsourced recycling and resource management services. From their offices in Telford, Shropshire, they coordinated over 100,000 waste movements every month and managed over 3 million tonnes of waste annually.

Reconomy had an existing bespoke PHP portal platform that their third-party developer could no longer support due to other business commitments. Reconomy sought an alternative development company that could support the existing system and make future enhancements.

Custom PHP Development

This was an unusual situation as companies usually change developers due to dissatisfaction with the service they receive, but this was not the case this time. Reconomy’s existing developer was involved in the selection of the new company to take over their work. As part of the selection process, the previous PHP developers visited the gloversure office and interviewed our team, alongside other companies, and provided feedback to Reconomy, ultimately recommending us.

Services & Technology

By developing and refining this bespoke PHP portal, we empowered Reconomy to continue delivering their critical services with enhanced performance, scalability, and a seamless user experience.

Dedicated Support

We set up a dedicated email for their support requests and had a team of developers familiar with their platform. Enabling us to react quickly to any support request. This was no small system; it was an enterprise-level platform and the hub of their business. Making it imperative that this system remained live 24/7. Over the years of working with Reconomy, we developed APIs to enable third-party platforms to communicate with the system, as well as several mobile apps that improved their customers’ user experience. The system was hosted on AWS, and our server experts maintained the entire hosting platform.
