The Client

The Bay, Talland provides luxury self-catering holiday homes all of which have direct access to the beautiful Cornish coastline.

Customers are given the choice to either rent or buy the contemporary self-catering cottages, which include various on-site facilities including a gym, indoor swimming pool and a large sauna capable of sitting up to eight people.

Many companies go through a website redesign process, but the main reason for this is because their existing site has become dated. Unfortunately, due to how quickly the industry changes, what was current web design principles four or five years ago no longer applies to today. Studies show that consumers are most likely to go with a company that has a nice-looking website because it shows they are progressing, current and are on top of the latest technological trends.

The Bay, Talland have always understood the importance of making a great impression. They also understand how vital it is to stay competitive. Therefore the client reapproached Gloversure looking for a redesign of their current website, paying close attention to its online branding and its user experience.

One of our main goals of the project was to create a more intuitive way for users to search and locate properties online. Therefore we integrated SuperControl to deliver a sophisticated search engine that offered a powerful new way for users to search available properties using dates, duration, keywords and more. To accompany this, we also developed an online calendar, using SuperControl, allowing users to easily view booking availability.

A large image slider was also added to each property information page, to showcase high quality images of the individual holiday homes. A slider is also used to display high resolution images of The Bay Talland’s impressive facilities.

Thanks to all of the hard work of the team and through the cooperation of The Bay, Talland we were able to create a beautifully looking website that ticked all of the boxes for both the client and the websites users. We have had a lot of fun working on this website and we look forward to seeing the positive impact the new website will have for the company.
