Website users are welcomed to Mill End Hotels homepage with an engaging full-width hero video banner. The high-definition video showcases Mill-End’s stunning interior and exterior. As well as displaying beautiful scenic, aerial views of the surrounding landscape. The video acts as an instant eye-catcher, giving potential customers an immediate taste of what an escape to Mill End could look like.
The video doesn’t play instantly, and instead, show’s a bold title overlaying the video that summarises what Mill End Hotel offers. Additionally, we styled a play button that complements the typography’s aesthetic. Users can choose to play the video, which is located directly beneath the title.
We balanced an off-white, sage green, and saddle brown colour scheme across the website. A collection of tasteful tones that compliment the Mill End Hotel brand. Just like Mill End’s rooms, each page is spacious and uncluttered; creating a sense of luxury comfort, and openness. Additionally, paying homage to its fern-ridden location, our team styled light-brown ferns behind text blocks. In turn, giving the hotel website design another layer of character, depth and texture. On top of this, we carefully blended a contemporary font with a more traditional, prestigious font. Further evoking the character of Mill End Hotel whilst remaining contemporary and readable.
