Getting to know us...
As a growing business, our team is a massive part of who we are. Each member brings a unique skill set and experience to the table, so what better time than now to introduce you to them. This week, it’s the turn of Aaron, one of our developers…
What’s your role at gloversure?
I’m a Web Developer at gloversure. My role mainly focuses on building and maintaining websites, ensuring that they are both functional and look good.

How did you end up here?
I started my journey at gloversure during my industry year at Aberystwyth University in 2020-2021. During that time, I gained a lot of hands-on experience and learned a lot about the practical side of web development. I thoroughly enjoyed my placement and I was lucky enough to be offered a full-time position when I graduated.

A surprising fact about yourself?
I’m learning Welsh, it’s a language I’ve always found fascinating and I thought it would be great to challenge myself.

Favourite part of working at gloversure?
The atmosphere and culture are definitely my favourite part of working here. I really enjoy collaborating, and everyone is supportive and friendly.

When you’re not in the office, what are you up to?
When I’m not at work, I like to stay active and explore the outdoors. I’m really into scouting, which is a big part of my life, and I also do a lot of hiking and cycling. I love visiting local towns and experiencing new places and cultures.

What makes a good web design in your opinion?
A good web design should be clean and simple - the user should be able to navigate and use the site without having to think too hard about it.

What are you listening to/reading at the moment?
Since I’m learning Welsh, I’m currently reading "Gangsters yn y Glaw" - a book in Welsh that’s helping me improve my language skills while keeping me entertained. In terms of podcasts, I’m really into The Vergecast, which covers the latest in tech news and trends, and I also enjoy listening to the MattP1Tommy F1 Podcast. Being a big fan of Formula 1, it’s a great way to get the latest updates.
