WHO COVID-19 App: Supporting the Fight Against COVID-19
When the World Health Organization (WHO) called for volunteer mobile app developers to assist in combating COVID-19, we answered without hesitation. On Sunday, we began exploring how we could contribute to this critical initiative.
At the time, a team of developers had already started building the app, but the WHO needed help with testing and fixing issues listed on their GitHub repository. Determined to make a difference, we got to work immediately.

How We Contributed to the WHO App
Our team focused on identifying bugs in the app's code and submitting fixes. These solutions were integrated into the app’s master code, improving its functionality and reliability.
Richard, our Founder, shared his thoughts:
"I'm immensely proud of our team's contribution to combating COVID-19. It’s rewarding to play a role in such an important project."

What the WHO MyHealth App Offers
The WHO MyHealth app, launching this week on iOS and Android, is designed to provide accurate COVID-19 information and also combat misinformation. Key features of the app include:
• Real-time alerts: Users receive notifications about COVID-19 spikes in their area or reports of local cases.
• Symptom self-triage: The app helps users determine if their symptoms align with COVID-19, reducing pressure on healthcare systems.
• Reliable news: Verified updates ensure users stay informed with accurate information about the virus.
These tools empower individuals while supporting global efforts to contain the virus.

Ongoing Support for the WHO App
Lastly, our commitment to this project doesn’t stop here. We will continue to monitor the app’s progress and offer assistance whenever needed. Being part of this initiative highlights how collaboration can make a real difference during challenging times.
