2019 marks 15 years of Gloversure.
2019 marks the 15th Birthday of Gloversure.
Since its establishment in 2004 Gloversure has grown into an award-winning digital development business. We’ve earnt an industry reputation due to our dedicated team who strive to provide innovative design solutions to take businesses to the next level.
12 months after we started, our first office in Welshpool was opened, followed by our first overseas client, showing our impressive rapid growth and the company’s reach.
By February 2007, the team had risen to 5 dedicated members, leading to the purchase of a new office space- Severn Business Centre. Now in 2019, this space still acts as our head office, a home away from home for our developers and designers, keeping gloversure to its Welsh roots.
In 2010 we took home the Young Entrepreneurship Prize at Powys Business Awards, a credit to our continued hard work and dedication. We are also proud to have received the same award in 2011 alongside the Daily Post Achievement Wales Business Award, small business category.
After this award, our staff numbers continued to increase, expanding to 10 team members by September 2012. But the staff wasn’t the only thing expanding, in July 2014 we expanded over the border to Chester helping our team to grow to 15 by March 2015.
With several team members, it was time to start appointing directors, in March 2016 Jon Knight was appointed Technical Director, helping the team continue to create and monitor impressive websites- whilst keeping everything moving in the right direction. By August 2018 we appointed Alex Hinton as our Operations Director, helping to keep the business running smoothly.
And now in 2019, our 15th anniversary isn’t the only celebration within the office, in October Richard was awarded the Entrepreneur Award at the Powys Business Awards, for the first time (sadly Richard no longer qualifies for the ‘Young Entrepreneur ’ category).
gloversure has continued to grow into a 21 strong team, with 2019 being the largest year for staff growth since the business’s establishment. In the last 5 months, an extra 5 staff members have joined the gloversure team to account for our growth and development. This growth is continuing, despite the current Brexit uncertainty.
